The Foundation is pleased to announce the publication of an unpublished biography in English of Jean Monnet written by British journalist and historian Richard Mayne, who was one of his collaborators in the 1950s and 1960s. The book is edited by Clifford P. Hackett, Executive Director of the Jean Monnet Council in Washington DC. This publication is the twelfth in the Foundation’s Debates and Documents Series. In March 2019, it is part of the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the death of Jean Monnet, inspirer of the first European Community and Europe’s first honorary citizen.
