Second period (2018-2019)

For its second research period dedicated to the challenges and issues of sustainable mobility in Europe, the work focused on a comparative study of several European cities of national and/or regional importance. These were screened in order to draw out best practices and possible challenges to be taken up in the implementation of a sustainable transport policy.

The Foundation also participated in various events, including the Forum des 100, organised by the daily newspaper Le Temps on 9 May 2019 on the theme “The ecological transition; time for action”. In addition to the official programme, the Foundation participated in two thematic sessions and led a working group reflecting on the challenges and opportunities of the “technological transition”.

On 8 July 2020, the Jean Monnet Foundation’s expert group organised an online round table on the theme “What will tomorrow’s transport look like? ». The conference brought together Stéphanie Gonzalez, product manager and spokesperson for the French-speaking part of Switzerland for the cooperative carsharing company Mobility, and Patrick Oliva, co-founder of the PPMC (Paris Process on Mobility and Climate).
