Henri Rieben Scholarship

The Henri Rieben Scholarship of the Foundation was put out to tender for the first time in January 2011. It is now a yearly event. The first four fellows arrived at the Foundation during the 2011-2012 academic year.

The scholarship, dedicated to the memory of Professor Henri Rieben and financed exclusively by private funds, encourages the consultation and exploitation of the archives kept at the Foundation. It allows advanced doctoral students, registered at a university in Switzerland, Europe or the rest of the world, to come to Lausanne between one and six months to work on their thesis.

Teaching at the University of Lausanne

At the University of Lausanne, in the Faculties of Social and Political Sciences and Law, the Foundation runs a teaching programme based in particular on the documentary heritage held by the Foundation and is enriched by the presence of external lecturers. This teaching, which is provided by Gilles Grin, aims to raise students’ awareness of European issues and to stimulate research.
