Jacques Delors (1925-) was President of the European Commission from 1985 to 1995. This is an emblematic presidency at a pivotal moment in the construction of Europe.
An electronic copy of the archives was provided to the Foundation in January 2017 by the Jacques Delors Institute.

These particularly rich archives can be consulted on the Foundation’s computer workstations and represent nearly 80,000 pages of documents.
The fonds consists of texts and speeches by Jacques Delors as well as interviews, press articles, preparatory notes and minutes of meetings. It includes documents on the negotiations of the Single European Act, the establishment of the Single Market, the strengthening of social Europe and social dialogue, the rise of the European budget, the Maastricht Treaty, Economic and Monetary Union, the euro, European citizenship and many other subjects.
