The Foundation receives the prize from the BCV Foundation for its poster collection.

On Wednesday 2 July 2025, our Foundation received the BCV Foundation’s prize, endowed with CHF 100’000, for the project aimed at preserving and enhancing an exceptional collection of 5’000 posters dedicated to Europe. This project, also supported by the Loterie Romande and private donors, and running from 2025 to 2028, pursues a dual objective:

– Ensuring the long-term preservation of these fragile documents, true witnesses to the history of the European continent.
– Making them accessible to the public and researchers through digitization, cataloguing and free online access.
The project will culminate in a public exhibition, showcasing the richness and diversity of this unique collection. This will be a unparalleled opportunity to (re)discover the history of continental Europe through original graphic materials, some of which have never been displayed before.
The Foundation warmly thanks the BCV Foundation for its support. This prize is a wonderful recognition of the Foundation’s role as guardian of the European memory and promoter of reflection on the major issues facing our continent.
The BCV Foundation
Since 1995, the BCV Foundation has supported major projects led by individuals or organisations based or originated in the canton of Vaud. Legally independent from BCV, the Foundation annually recognizes charitable associations, cultural and artistic initiatives, as well as scientific research programs.
