On 9 June 2021, the Foundation organised a dialogue on “China – Europe: challenges and perspectives, Swiss strategy”.
Jean François Billeter, sinologist and professor emeritus at the University of Geneva, and Philippe G. Nell, honorary ambassador of the Swiss-Latin American Chamber of Commerce, were able to discuss their respective experiences. Nell, honorary ambassador of the Swiss-Latin American Chamber of Commerce, discussed their vision and the related challenges.
The dialogue was followed by a discussion with Pat Cox, President of the Foundation and former President of the European Parliament and Jacques de Watteville, Vice-President of the Jean Monnet Foundation for Europe, former Secretary of State of the Swiss Confederation and Chief Negotiator with the European Union.
The event was held live and was broadcast on Facebook and YouTube.
The audience was able to intervene via comments on the platforms.
