Karl-Heinz Lambertz also stressed the importance of dialogue between institutions and citizens in Europe, so that the latter are able to perceive the real added value of the project that the European Union represents.

Karl-Heinz Lambertz’s conference was followed by many exchanges with the public before being closed by Gilbert Casasus, Professor of European Studies at the University of Fribourg, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in Switzerland, two partner institutions of the Foundation for the organisation of this event, as well as the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation in Berne.
